World renowned, the Pasteur Institute of Lille (IPL), run by Pr. Amouyel, is known not only for the quality of its fundamental work but also for its applied research.
With approximately 600 researchers, doctors, chemists and engineers, the IPL conducts many research projects, partly in conjunction with the medical and pharmaceutical industry within associated laboratories. Some of these laboratories are associated with other institutes such as the CNRS (National Center of Scientific Research), INSERM (National Institute of Health and Medical Research).
