The main bodies concerned in the Region are: Lille Métropole Initiative, Associations Entreprendre, Versant Nord-Est Initiative, etc.
Subsidies and Reimbursable Advances :
ANVAR (National Research Agency) grants different types of public aid for research: subsidies (aid prior to creation, aid to recruitment in terms of innovation), reimbursable advances (aid to innovation, etc.), particularly seed capital participative loans. This Agency is also in charge of running the national competition launched annually by the Ministry of Technological Research for innovative company start-up. The Regional Council also provides subsidies to companies that present a programme for development and job creation in the Region. The Metropolitan Lille Urban Community can invest in the same programmes when the company plans to set up a facility in the Lille Metropolitan Area.
